Independent Film "Small Ball: A Little League Story" Captures The Little League Experience On PBS April 14

PBS Broadcast: April 14, 8:00 p.m.
(check local PBS station listings)

Small Ball: A Little League Story captures the hope, thrills and excitement of players, parents and coaches as a team of 11- and 12-year-old Little Leaguers go from their small town all the way to the 2002 Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The team’s quest becomes a metaphor for the hopes and dreams of all Little Leaguers as, out of 6,400 U.S. League All-Star teams that began tournament play, it survives four grueling tournaments to become one of eight U.S. teams to make it to the World Series.

Small Ball: A Little League Story is a production of the Center for New American Media and Penn State Public Broadcasting in association with The Independent Television Service. Produced by Louis Alvarez and Andrew Kolker; executive producer Tracy Vosburgh. Presented by Penn State Public Broadcasting.
